Aside from staying safe and having an outstanding adventure, what’s most important in a summer program?
At GoBeyond Student Travel we believe that it’s the lasting impact that the experience can have and the development of skills and insights that stay with you throughout high school, college, and most importantly… life. We understand that parents want their children to grow to be independent and capable of making positive choices that enable them to maximize their strengths, overcome their weaknesses, and reach their fullest potential. Perhaps the hope for their happiness and success is at its strongest as they reach their teen years. This is a pivotal time in their lives because these experiences and influences build the bridge from the children they once were to the adults they will become.
GoBeyond provides its students with the tools they need to build a strong foundation for this transition. We do this by creating an environment that promotes self-discovery as well as social, emotional, and intellectual growth. The programs we offer vary in destination and focus. Most are adventure based, some offer academics and many involve community service. All are multi-faceted and all are built around the same core principles and philosophy. The result? We get results far beyond what one might expect from a typical summer program and this was highlighted to us in a recent survey of over 2000 alumni of our programs.
Beyond the impact our programs have on our students, the work we do makes a real difference in the places we go. Last summer alone we managed to complete a staggering number of community service hours alongside our international partner organizations. Many hands make light work so when it’s all said and done, GoBeyond students and staff completed over 8 years worth of work this summer.
