JB is an old soul passionate about empowering others, exploring, and being outdoors. His zest for travel and nature began with his upbringing in Ecuador and family road trips across the U.S. He moved to Florida and later graduated from the University of South Florida, where he discovered a love for building community and educating leaders. Being a student on Sea|mester in 2014 helped him realize he could combine all that he loves into one life. Since then, he’s worked with an environmental non-profit in Honduras, earned his Wilderness First Responder and Divemaster certifications, lived on a glacier in Alaska, and traveled around the U.S. In his spare time, he can be found kayaking, mentoring and being mentored, pretending he can cook, and discovering new places with his friends.
