Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay

Today we got to sleep in before waking up to Athina making us french toast. It was really good, and we had a lot left over. Then we had the other boat over to learn about seagrass and how we were going to monitor it. Next, we changed into our bathing suits and rash guards as well as got our snorkel gear ready to go. We went over to an area with a lot of seagrasses, and we recorded data about it on underwater paper which was pretty cool. My group finished first, so we went back to the boats to begin lunch, tortilla soup. While the chefs prepared that, Athina and I talked about how much we miss Kyle. During lunch, we discussed potential pranks to pull on the other boat and then we got our snorkel gear ready again. We then went turtling for about 45 minutes before we anchored with the whole AQ fleet. After dinner, the other boat came over, and we dissected a lionfish. It was so cool to see all the parts of the fish and to learn about it.
