Location: West End, Tortola

The day started earlier than usual getting to the park at 7:30 and not 8:00. The other part of GoBeyond, Preserving Paradise was going to help us out in the morning because of the amount of work we have to do. Preserving Paradise got there around 8 and started working around 8:15 after we had already been working for half an hour. The other group’s job was to clear weeds in the park and around the parking lot while our group did the other jobs we had been working on over the weekend. We worked until 1 pm so we could go to the beach and eat lunch before getting back to work later in the day. The beach was beautiful, and it felt good to get in the water the last time before we have to go. We had sandwiches and sodas for lunch. After we finished lunch, we went back to the villa to shower and change. In the afternoon the Preserving Paradise people had moved on to another project, so it is just our group working. We did more of the same stuff we started in the morning all afternoon. David and I worked on measuring wood to use as support beams on the bleachers. Since we got back so late from our mid-day break, we stayed until 9:30, working with headlamps and lights until it was time to go back to the villa to eat dinner. We had Mexican night again and yet again it was still delicious.
