Location: MySmallHelp Peru, Ollantaytambo
We got to sleep in today! We enjoyed our breakfast and then headed off to our first destination. It was a small village nestled in the valley. When we got there, we played soccer and split up into groups. Some stayed with soccer, and others made sandwiches and oatmeal for breakfast for the kids. We learned some Spanish Sign Language and fed the kids their breakfast. After that, some of us went and painted with the kids while others learned some new dance moves. We would later perform these dances in front of the whole group. Then we had lunch, and we were paired up with buddies for the day. The objective was to have us to get to know more the deepest, darkest secrets of our friends. Just kidding. We just wanted to learn more cool things about one another. We came back to the hotel and rested for a bit and then bonded with our new buddies. Then we went on a walk around town with a new buddy. Then we had dinner in the town of sandwiches and bonded a ton with our buddies. We listened to some musicians and left once they started playing, so we didn’t have to all tip them. Then we got back to the hotel and played a game of trivia to test our knowledge of our buddies. Carson came in first both times because he has fast hands for the buzzer and Shayla came in second place. Hope you’re having fun in the US! Much love from all of us at Go Beyond 🙂
