Location: Sidney's, Jost van Dyke

This morning got so much better when I looked at the job wheel and saw that I was skipper today. Breakfast was amazing thanks to chef Hannah; she made these superb banana pancakes. They were so good I went up for thirds; I probably ate around 20. Around nine we got ready to sail. I hopped on the helm and started driving the boat. It was a short but fun sail. When we arrived at Jost Van Dyke, we helped a woman named Justine create a garden area for the island’s preservation society. It was a LOT of work, but it paid off. After all our hard work, we had shore time. I went to a famous restaurant on the island named Foxy’s. Justine, who happened to be the daughter of the man who owned Foxy’s, was very generous and gave us a huge bowl of chicken and French fries for free. After eating, I went to explore the island with a couple of friends. We took lots and lots of photos and stopped in every shop. When we got back on the boat, we set sail for another side of the island. Everyone is currently running around the boat getting ready for the barbecue here. I’m excited to hang out with everyone from the other boats and meet new people. Well, I better start getting ready, deuces.
