Below is our anticipated schedule of activities. The group will have limited access to the internet over the course of the program. While we understand families are eager for news, we ask for patience as our staff’s energy is focused on the students and the program at hand. Day 1 (June 21) – Students depart from the U.S. Day 2 (June 22) – Fly Day (Note time difference +14 hours to EST) Day 3 (June 23) – Student arrival day in Sydney – G’day, Mates! Morning orientation; time to call home and rest from flight; Bondi Beach exploration; afternoon surfing lessons; dinner & ice-breaker activities. Accommodations: Bondi YHA Beachhouse Hostel Day 4 (June 24) – Sydney Opera House tour; Sydney exploration; dinner in Bondi Junction. Accommodations: Bondi YHA Beachhouse Hostel Day 5 (June 25) – Full day Blue Mountains Tour with Coast Warriors. Accommodations: Bondi YHA Beachhouse Hostel. Day 6 (June 26th) – Internal flight transfer to Proserpine aboard flight VA 0931. Transfer to sailing charter aboard S/V Eureka II. Accommodations: Eureka II Day 7 to 9 (June 27 to 29) – Sailing charter in the Whitsunday Islands aboard S/V Eureka II! Day 10 (June 30) – Transfer Airlie to Townsville; Afternoon ReefHQ visit and Aquarium exploration; Opportunity to do laundry; Accommodation: Civic Guest House Day 11 (July 1) – Townsville: AM Billabong Wildlife Sanctuary; PM Castle Hill Lookout; Waterpark visit in public park if time allows; Dinner and movie at accommodations. Accommodations: Civic Guest House Day 12 (July 2) – Transfer Townsville to Kuranda. Kuranda Rainforest exploration. Accommodations: Kuranda Rainforest Accommodation Park Day 13, 14 – (July 3, 4) – Community Service with Kuranda Envirocare. Accommodations Kuranda Rainforest Accommodation Park Day 15 – (July 5) – Kuranda Rainforest Exploration; Rugby game at Peterson Park (Edmonton vs. Atherton). Accommodation CNS Tropical Garden Motel Day 16 – (July 6) – Transfer Kuranda to Cairns; Tjapukai Aboriginal Park visit; Shopping in Cairns Night Markets; Evening with ReefTeach Environmental Ed. Center. Accommodation CNS Tropical Garden Motel Day 17 (July 7) – Diving charter on the Great Barrier Reef with ProDive. Accommodation: Prodive Boat Day 18 (July 8) – Diving charter on the Great Barrier Reef with ProDive. Accommodation: Prodive Boat Day 19 (July 9) – Diving charter on the Great Barrier Reef with ProDive. Accommodation: Prodive Boat Day 20 (July 10) – Whitewater rafting with RAGING THUNDER Raft Co. Final dinner and closing activities. Accommodations: CNS Tropical Garden Motel Day 21 (July 11) – Fly Day!
