Arriving at a small school about 45 minutes away from our hotel, we were greeted with smiles from all the children. After gaining information on the garden we were building for the school, we all got to work. Although lifting logs to building the frame of the garden was difficult, we all worked as a team to accomplish our goal. We dug holes to place the logs. It took a very long time, but overall the garden looked great.
At the end of the service day, we all felt great that we were helping the kids have food for their school. I overall enjoyed this service project because it made me happy to know the children would get a healthy and nutritious meal for lunch. I’m very happy we made such a beautiful garden.
