Location: Cusco, Peru

This morning, we got to sleep in until 8 o’clock! We ate breakfast and then walked up the hill to a church. At the church, we saw several alpacas and played team-building games. After that, we split up into smaller groups and headed to the market to get different components of our lunch, which was AMA ZING. Our sandwiches were made of yummy pork, salty cheese, avocado, tomatoes, and cucumbers. It was the best sandwich I have ever had. In the afternoon, we went to the Saxaywaman (pronounced “sexy woman”) archaeological site where we rode horses, saw the ruins of an Inca temple, walked through a pitch black cave/tunnel, and slid down a natural slide. We walked to town and got swindled into eating at the same restaurant that we ate at last night. All in all, it was a pretty great day full of walking, making new friends, and having new adventures.P.S. They have some really cool cars in Peru – See the monkey car above
