Location: Quito, Ecuador
This morning I woke to a chilly outside. A group and I went on a short run outside the gates of the hostel. Then we went to a park and began to learn everybody’s names. (Twenty-five names to be exact.) Before that, we took a beautiful and steep ride to the park. After getting to know everyone, we started a tour. During the tour, we entered a beautiful church. The church was covered in gold from ceiling to floor. It was breathtaking. We also went to the top of the city of Quito. At the top was a statue of Mary and many little shops. Here Anna and I bought some pretty unique llama ponchos- they are life changing! This was the first day, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of this trip holds in store for us.
Ecuador has stolen my heart.
