I’m never short of amazed by what groups of teenagers can accomplish. Just a few weeks ago I was leading a group who dug the holes for the support columns of this building, and today I’m watching a group of teens lay the concrete floor with very little oversight or guidance. It is amazing the bonds and effort that go into such projects, and I take pleasure in knowing the lasting impacts of these projects that we’ve put our backs and sweat into. Life will be better for many people because of the projects we have completed, and our efforts will leave a lasting impact in many places. Hopefully in each of our hearts as well. Life these days isn’t often about connecting and laboring to help those less fortunate, but it is truly such an immensely rewarding and positive feeling.
