Location: Anegada

Today was Day 9 of our adventure. We started it off bright and early, taking a cab from the main dock of Anegada to the old fisherman’s dock. Although we do something different every day, today was especially exciting because we were able to do some turtle tagging. The dinghy only fits four at a time, so we took turns. The dinghy driver, Rondel, was an excellent driver and very patient. My group (Rachel, Elana, and Beezy), spent an hour finding and chasing our turtle, Marlou. Six turtles ended up being caught. While people weren’t out catching turtles, they were learning how to measure and observe them after releasing the turtles we finished the day off with some shore time, catching up with friends and family, and a great risotto dinner.
