Welcome to the Lifeworks Thailand blogs! Below is a little bit about the staff that will be leading this summer. Enjoy!
Carolyn Kovacs – Carolyn graduated from the College of William and Mary and received her Master’s degree in Marine Sciences at Savannah State University. She has visited more than 30 countries, and over the past two years has sailed as an instructor with Sea|Mester from Tahiti to South Africa as well as in the Caribbean. During that time, she spent almost a year in Southeast Asia and fell in love with the culture (and the food!) and is excited for a return to Thailand. In addition to her love of travel and marine science, Carolyn enjoys teaching fitness classes, surfing, hiking, and stand up paddleboarding.
Andrew Catomeris – Born outside of Boston, Andrew has been drawn into traveling and adventure as long as he can remember. He has been around the globe with teens from Alaska to the Himalayas. An outdoor enthusiast, Andrew has spent his last four years biking, climbing, and running his way through Vermont, while getting a degree in Neuroscience at Middlebury College. Hoping to eventually go to medical school, Andrew has a W-EMT certification and has worked in ERs in the US and Tanzania. A photographer, a diver, a reader – Andrew is thrilled to go on his next adventure with Lifeworks!
Chidchanok Khunhirun (Aom) – Aom traveled a lot when she was young. She studied abroad, visiting ten countries, and was part of the Dreams and Teams Exchange student program. Aom studied law at Thammasat University before changing her career path to communications and advertising studies at Bangkok University. She used to join a volunteer camp to build a library for young students living in wilderness areas in a northern province of Thailand. In her free time, Aom loves to cook and take photographs.
