Location: Galapagos

We woke up at the early time of 3:30 to get to our flight to the Galapagos. Once we arrived in the Galapagos, we headed to the boat. On our way there, we stopped at the “Los Gemelos” craters or the same twin craters. After the nice stop, we continued on our way to the catamaran, which would become our home for the next four days. Before boarding the Panga that took us to the boat, we were greeted by a curious sea lion. The sight of this adorable creature brought smiles to everyone’s’ faces. Once we arrived on the boat, we got the lay of the land, had a delicious lunch of spaghetti and then had a meeting about our plans for the next few days. Our guide, who is a certified naturalist, took us on land and showed us around Darwin’s center and taught us about the many plants and animals that the Galapagos has to offer, like the tortoises. We then walked around the town. We came back to the boat and finished the day off with some dinner and a game of cards. Today was a very nice day to travel, and all eight of us enjoyed our first day in the majestic Galápagos Islands.
