Location: Solheimar
Today was a travel day. This meant that we had to wake up bright and early at 7:15. We finished packing, got dressed in comfy clothing, and got ready for an 8-hour car ride ahead. After taking an hour’s nap on the bus, we got to some tunes going. We had a blast playing music and singing along. Along with terrific views out of the window, we got to enjoy each other’s company. Eventually, we got to our lunch place, where we enjoyed a variety of food. Members of our group enjoyed burgers, fish and chips, chicken tenders, and lamb soup. After lunch, Max ordered a milkshake and shared it with everyone. As a result, it was consumed in 3 seconds. We continued on our trip after lunch and made our way closer to Solheimar for the next part of our trip. Solheimar is an eco-village where we will continue our service work. Before we got to the village, we got our phones back. Everyone was happy about this. Once we got to the farm, we got ready to make dinner. Nola, Ava, and Ellie cooked pasta and garlic bread. It was very good. After dinner, we had ice cream and watched The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which, ironically, was filmed in Iceland. We all had a restful and wonderful day of travels.
