Location: La Finca

It was our last morning at Dos Palmas, and we had the breakfast we’d grown accustomed to.  As we made our way to work at La Finca, a place of rest and rehabilitation for the locals in La Carpio, we learned we’d be doing lots of projects throughout the day.  When we arrived, we met Nela and Antonio, and the local kids who came from La Carpio to help us work. We then set out building a fence, painting a mural, and building a dog house for their dog, Princesa, who is expecting puppies!  Our mural at the end was amazing. It gave joy and a touch of happiness to La Finca. All the little fishes, starfish, and waves we painted made the wall beautiful. And the fence will make the property more secure. After all the work was done, we said our goodbyes to Nela and Antoino and went to meet our host families who have already taken us in as their own.
