Tashi Hadekel

Tashi became a Tibetan Buddhist monk at the age of 9. He spent the earlier years of his life as a monk on the Gelugpa (yellow hat sect) of Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Tashi lived in Dharamsala for many years, before ultimately deciding to leave the monastery to pursue things that he dreamed to achieve in his life. Tashi is passionate about sharing his personal life as a Tibetan in exile. He currently lives in NYC and going to Brooklyn College to study film. Tashi’s hobbies are biking, singing, and hip hop dancing. People say his momos (Tibetan dumplings) are irresistible.
