Location: Reykjavik

Today was an early day, and my roommates, Grisha, Roman, and Kyle, all struggled to wake up. We ate breakfast at the hostel, which consisted of yogurt, cereal of our choice, and berries.

Our first destination after breakfast was a bakery/museum, where we saw a split in the ground displaying a fault line; Grisha was convinced it was not real. I also got myself a donut, which was pretty good but doesn’t compare to NY donuts.

Following this, we visited an array of waterfalls, where we got wet but had a good time. We also visited a geyser and saw it erupt.

Finally, we went snorkeling in 2 degrees Celsius water, which was definitely an interesting experience. We had to put on both a dry suit and a wet suit to stay warm. I had a great time, but it was definitely something I’m fine with doing once and never again.

For dinner, we ordered Chinese, which was definitely satisfying after a long day of walking, swimming, and traveling. Overall, I had a great day and am looking forward to the rest of the trip.

Miss you, family, Luke.
