Welcome to the Lifeworks Costa Rica blogs! Below is a little bit about the staff that will be leading this summer. Enjoy!
Rob Green – As an avid writer, martial artist, and motorcycle enthusiast, Rob’s hunger for adventure has pulled him to nearly every corner of the globe. When he’s not helping students build character and confidence at his Taekwondo academy, he spends his time volunteering on international medical missions in developing countries. He enjoys learning from the contrasts of life – from Barcelona’s glittering vistas, to Kathmandu’s crumbling shantytowns, to Guatemala’s bustling jungles, to Morocco’s serene mountain ranges – Rob is always looking to dig in deep and explore the wild places of the world.
Robyn Green – Robyn studied biology and philosophy in South Dakota. She fell in love with volunteer work on a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic where she realized the sort of good that can come from experiencing other cultures. She’s done mission work in almost every region of the world including Central and South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia, and finds an immeasurable sense of satisfaction and humility in helping others. She plans to pursue a career in medicine and believes great adventures are only as great as the people you share them with.
Skylar Stetten – Skylar found her passion for travel and photography while doing detailed research in developing nations for a global non-profit. Skylar is inspired by the people she meets whose perspective gives them both balance and courage in the face of adversity. Skylar was raised in Wilmington, NC and graduated from the College of Charleston. As a marathon runner and teacher of yoga and meditation, Skylar is an advocate for global health and wellness. She believes life is more meaningful when it’s in the service of others and is thrilled to be working with a purpose-driven organization that combines service with education and adventure.
