Welcome to the Ecuador and Galapagos blog page! Below is a little bit about the staff that will be leading this summer. Enjoy!
Jessica discovered at an early age that she wanted her future to involve the outdoors. Growing up in Canada, she spent her summers on canoe trips, the longest being 50 days. She has had the opportunity to backpack through New Zealand, spent time hiking the Himalaya Mountains in India and sailed around South East Asia. Jessica has been combining her love of the outdoors and her passion for traveling by pursuing studies within the outdoor leadership field. She is currently a student at Carleton University and is counting down the days until the summer!
Proclaimed an obsessive-compulsive adventurer by friends and family, Boots became involved with Lifeworks sister program, Sea|mester, as a shipmate in Spring 2013. Born on Boston’s North Shore, she attends university overseas at Trinity College Dublin and will be moving to Switzerland for the upcoming academic year. As an ocean addict, Wilderness First Responder, and marathon runner with extensive nonprofit involvement, she feels incredibly blessed to be a staff member for such a high-energy, purpose-driven company.
Alejandro was born in California and grew up in Venezuela. His hunger for adventure started at an early age going on road/international trips with the family. It extended during high school while working for his uncle on a sailboat and during college, he became involved with an outdoor company at his school. Alejandro’s specialty is team building and development, having worked as a team leader at a rope course. He enjoys exploring and meeting new people from different walks of life, biking, white water rafting, kayaking, backpacking, traveling and anything that takes him outdoors.
