Location: The Bight, Norman Island

Being a first timer on this trip, I had no idea what to expect.  The day started at 3:30 in the morning when I hear five to ten people shuffling into the bottom of the boat because of the small downpour that occurred.  Waking up at 6:00 when the sun is shining bright is something new because I am used to the sun rising around seven or eight.  After a quick breakfast of cereal, we had an assembly on the docks with all of the other groups at 8:30.  This was the day we would start our voyage into the vast ocean.  I did not expect to be asked to drive the boat out of the dock, but I took up the challenge and somehow did it.  It was a bit exhilarating, but you get the hang of it after a while.  Our group helped each other with lifting the sail, and we made it to Norman Island to do our first snorkel expedition.  Then came showering in the ocean and dinner to end the day.  The best part of the day was driving the boat and snorkeling in the caves.  So far, day one had its ups and downs (mostly ups though), and I cannot wait for more fun this trip.
