Location: Sydney's, Jost van Dyke

As we woke up, we were instantly hit with the homey smell of Elliot making pancakes, and we knew that today would be a good day. After we refueled, stocked up on fresh water at the dock, and ate breakfast, we sailed around the corner to Brewer’s Bay, where we met up with the other boat to go turtle-tagging! We piled into the dinghies and went to the other side of the bay and went power snorkeling (4 snorkelers holding a rope attached to a dinghy looking around as it pulls them through the water) for a little while until we spotted a turtle! It took a lot of effort and a lot of strategizing to herd it into a place shallow enough that Jack could dive down and snag it! When he did, we were all so excited but switched right away into research mode to be prepared to tag this turtle. Jack led the tagging process, and it went smoothly and effectively. Then, after lunch, we had the option to go snorkeling again in search of lionfish or to stay back on the boat and learn how to tie some COOL knots. Those snorkelers spotted three lionfish while out there! Their location was successfully marked so that Reef Guardians could take care of them. After everyone returned to the boats, we sailed to Sydney’s Peace and Love for an awesome night of great food, cool shirts, and jewelry for sale, and the company of the best people. Everyone was exhausted by the end of the night, and we knew that today was pretty awesome.
