Location: Delhi

The group woke for their last day in Delhi. After a delicious breakfast, we toured Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, as well as the Red Fort, the massive and brilliantly red sandstone palace built by the 17th century Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan (who also built the Taj Mahal). Despite the chaotic streets and stifling heat, they were grand sites to see.

Taking a much-needed rest in the Tibetan colony of Majnu ka Tilla, we broke for a round of ice teas, air conditioning, and lunch. Afterward, the group browsed nearby markets for spices and last minute souvenirs, then returned to the hotel for showers before the long flights home.

We’d like to thank our group for an incredible three weeks. It’s been a genuine pleasure to serve as your guides. We hope each of you enjoyed your stay in India, gaining some fun and meaningful memories. I know our staff has made a few too.

Best wishes to you with your friends…
