Welcome to the GoBeyond Costa Rica trip logs! Below is a little bit about the staff that will be leading this summer. Enjoy!
ANNA CORTEY MARQUES – Originating from Spain, Anna studied Translation and Interpretation in Barcelona and Germany, where she started her career as a devoted language teacher. Passionate about cultural diversity, she spends every summer promoting positive social interaction through language worldwide. She has extensive experience in both guiding students abroad and leading cultural, educational and sports activities. As an adventurer, she is active, happy, in love with the planet and its peoples. She feels absolutely delighted to merge her hobbies with her job, and can’t wait for her next summer with GoBeyond!
JONATHON BURROUGHS (JB) – JB is an old soul passionate about empowering others, exploring, and being outdoors. His zest for travel and nature began with his upbringing in Ecuador and family road trips across the U.S. He moved to Florida and later graduated from the University of South Florida, where he discovered a love for building community and educating leaders. Being a student on Sea|mester in 2014 helped him realize he could combine all that he loves into one life. Since then, he’s worked with an environmental non-profit in Honduras, earned his Wilderness First Responder and Divemaster certifications, lived on a glacier in Alaska and traveled around the U.S. In his spare time, he can be found kayaking, mentoring and being mentored, pretending he can cook, and discover new places with his friends.
