Below is our anticipated schedule of activities. The group will have limited access to phone and internet during the program. While we understand families are eager for news, we ask for patience as our staff’s energy is focused on the students and the program at hand. Day 1 (July 16) – Fly day Day 2 (July 17) – Student arrival; Introductions and time to rest Day 3 (July 18) – Morning student orientation & icebreakers; Afternoon Gandhi’s house tour & museum; Optional walk around the artist enclave of Haus Khas Village Day 4 (July 19) – Noon flight to Dharamsala; Tsechokling Monastery check-in & tour; Orientation to the town of Dharamsala; Tour of the Dalai Lama Temple Day 5 to 9 (July 20 to 24) – Full-service program including morning English tutoring at Lha Charitable Trust and afternoon teaching at the Tibetan Children’s Village; Evening Tibetan learning program and local excursions Day 10 to 11 (July 25 to 26) – Rest and fun days, including a treasure hunt, shopping, and evening cultural programs; Service learning preparation and lesson planning for next week Day 12 to 16 (July 27 to 31) – Full-service program including morning English tutoring at Lha Charitable Trust and afternoon teaching at the Tibetan Children’s Village; Evening Tibetan learning program and local excursions Day 17 (August 1) – Norbulingka Institute of Tibetan Arts and Karmapa Monastery tour with an overnight stay at Norling Guesthouse Day 18 (August 2) – Drive to Amritsar; Evening visit to the Golden Temple Day 19 (August 3) – Begin closing activities; Afternoon flight to Delhi; Special dinner in Hauz Khas Village Day 20 (August 4) – Taj Mahal Day! Day 21 (August 5) – Morning shopping at Dilli Haat; Student departures
