Only half way through our journey and the relationships we have formed are so strong. Today we finished building the preschool at Fatima’s house, and it felt amazing. Seeing the small, dull area turn into a bright, inviting space in just three days was fantastic. Watching all the local children line up and pile in to enjoy the new addition was so rewarding. We finished the day with an unexpected thunderstorm and our phones! While it was nice to have contact with our family and friends, it is also enjoyable to disconnect from the outside world to focus on helping others. Creating new friendships instead of focusing on social media has taught us valuable people skills and to make the most of every moment. After three days of hard work, we are ready to spend some well earned days relaxing on the beach at Drake Bay.
