Location: La Carpio
Today started with a great breakfast, and then we headed back to La Carpio for our second day there. We split into two groups – one of the groups went to paint a mural, while our group had a mission to build a concrete floor in an underprivileged home. To make things more enjoyable, Gail led us into song and dance while leveling out the floors. We then continued to make cement and luckily enough it began raining. We got soaked, but that didn’t stop us. When we finished, we were soaked, dirty and hungry. We ate lunch and then played with the kids at the daycare. We played with puzzles, made play-doh animals and painted faces. The kids were so happy and always had a smile on their face. Overall it was a great day of service.
