Greetings, family and friends from back home!
Today is day one! I get to be the skipper! Skipper Gigi is reporting for the order. We woke up bright and early from our snooze on the boat at 7 o’clock. Breakfast was some cereal with strawberries, and we went to an hour-long meeting about how we need to be quite kind and cool. (Not kidding that was the phrase that was used.) After we launched the boat, we sailed for an hour and a half to get to our swimming destination. Nothing major at all. There were a couple of naps going on during the trip, but most of all, all the crew were getting to know each other. Lunch was deli sandwiches with no mustard.
The swimming test was the hardest test of all. They think we’re Micheal Phelps lol. Nah, I’m kidding. The swimming test was a couple of laps around the boat and treading water for ten minutes. Again, nothing major. The salt water in the mouth was a shock, I’m getting good at jumping in without my mouth open. Our boat shower was a very interesting one. Had to jump in then out to shampoo the hair, then another canon ball was in order to rise off then again got t get out to… you know. Very interesting. Can’t say that I hated it, just new. Dinner was after the scrub time, and it was Sloppy Joe’s with mashed potatoes. It’s weird to look out the window to see everything moving because inside, it feels fine. I think I got my sea legs already. There wasn’t much going on today, so that means tomorrow is going to be busy, busy, busy. I’m excited for everything to become hectic! A lot will go on. Alrighty,
