Location: Baotou
I spent my last morning in Baotou recovering in bed along with most of my other group mates… a much-needed rest day. Lunch was provided by the orphanage, where we soon headed to say our last goodbyes. Despite the fact that many of us still weren’t feeling our best, we piled into a baby room and held our coughs to take one final group picture in the orphanage. I had an especially hard time saying bye to my baby Robert, and he gave me the perfect farewell present by falling asleep in my arms while I fed him. After our last orphanage trip, we headed to our favorite noodle place for our last noodle dinner. To finish off the night, we returned to the Baotou train station for one last overnight journey to Beijing. A nice relaxing day. More to come tomorrow, so stay tuned!
