When I was told, I was going to be the leader of the day on a travel day I wasn’t sure what I was going to write about. Most of our day was spent traveling through the mountains of Costa Rica on our bus. We did get to see the aftermath of a landslide and stopped for lunch at the restaurant with the highest elevation in Central America. We were all very excited to arrive at a hotel that said “Resort and Spa.” Our rooms were a big change from the eco-lodge we had stayed at night earlier. A real shower! We then proceeded to enjoy the hot springs pool and then our real showers. We then made our way up a massive hill to the restaurant where we had a very nice, last supper style, three-course meal.
As our final day approaches, I’ve been reflecting on my time here in Costa Rica. Some things have gone poorly, like the whitewater rafting, but at the same time, there have been many good memories. I’ve made some of the best friends I’ve ever had and experienced things I never thought I would. I can’t wait to go home and see my family and friends (hi CloutGang), but at the same time, I’ll miss everyone and everything here.
