Location: Lake Myvatn
Rai here. I’m writing this from the top bunk in my room because everyone is packing, and the floor is a mess. Today, Izzy, Olivia, Leora, and I woke up at 7:30 to make crepes. We had to eyeball all of the measurements because we couldn’t read the packaging. We got all the measurements right and made some delicious crepes for everyone.
Then, everyone got dressed, and it was time to get on the bus. From there, we ended up going to the waterfall with the largest volume in Europe called Dettifoss, and we took an awesome family photo there.
We got on the bus again and ended up at a little truck stop gas station. We ate sandwiches again for lunch and went to Asbyrgi Canyon for a huge hike. We all thought Kimmi led us off the path, but we were fine. Olivia was vlogging on her GoPro. We walked back to the bus and then went back to the hostel. Olivia, Josalyn, Leora, Lindsey, and I went to a craft store where they had hand-knitted sweaters and dog clothes. After that, we went to the grocery store to pick up the ingredients for Olivia’s famous apple crumble for dessert!!! For dinner today, we had pasta, garlic bread, and vegetables.
Today was really busy and jam-packed but fun. I can’t wait to be home, and I miss you, Omi, and Mom.
