We woke up this morning around 8:45 again for breakfast before our seven-hour travel day out of Reykjavik. After some Cocoa Puffs, Skyr, and Nutella toast, we grabbed our bags and got on our bus. We talked and played two truths and a lie for a few hours before stopping for lunch along the way.. Back on the bus, we counted waterfalls, looked for horses and sheep, and occasionally cows for several hours. We later had another stop at a beautiful waterfall, Godafoss, where we took lots of pictures and explored for an hour. Then Sofi and I tried on furry hats for a solid half hour in the store before getting back on the bus. For the last few hours on the bus, we learned slang from our home towns and got to know each other a lot better. We saw an island inhabited by puffins, small penguin-like birds that can fly. At the end of the day, the seven hour bus drive had turned into a 10 hour travel day. When we finally arrived, we got our roommate assignments and everybody explored around the community while Sofi, Max, and I cooked dinner at 9:15. Even though it was a travel day, we still got to see amazing views and had a fun day.
