Location: Ollantaytambo
Today the group packed their bags then headed to the rafting place. When there, we suited up for white water rafting and our river cleanup. After filling 15 large rice bags of plastic trash found along the river, we went through a few sections of small rapids, and a few people fell off (or jumped off) the raft after we tried different fun balancing activities. We continued and ended up finishing our rafting experience where we usually eat lunch on service days. We ate there for lunch one last time and then set out on the two to three-hour drive to Cusco from the Sacred Valley. We would then spend the night in Cusco to catch a morning flight to Lima the next day. After celebrating Natalie’s birthday at a delicious Italian restaurant, we went back to the hotel to rest.
