Location: Road Harbor, Tortola

Hi guys! Skipper Ella here again. I know it’s been a while since you’ve last heard from me 🙂 After an interesting night of sleep in our villa, we woke up to roosters crowing and the long-awaited absence of rain. I think almost everyone was able to hear the heavy rain and wind all throughout the night, so the quiet was deserved. Some of us got better sleep than others, seeing as Maya was up at the crack of dawn, getting to watch the sunrise.

We had pancakes and cereal for a late breakfast and then just hung out. The Avizia shippies and Bella, Lia, and Amelia watched Kingsman while Maya, Coco, Annabelle, and I sat outside and made friendship bracelets. Unfortunately, by that time, we had been locked out of our room due to the fact that the lock on our door died! All the girls just stayed in their pajamas and occupied themselves with whatever was on hand while we waited for it to be opened again.

We got a short amount of phone time to check in with families and then set out to make lunch. That was deli sandwiches and PB and J’s. We may or may not have made a small mess of the kitchen; the saying “too many cooks in the kitchen” greatly applied (17 kids!).

We then cleaned the villa and prepared for a taxi while the villa owner came to fix the lock on our door. After getting dressed and cleaning, we got our phones back as a reward. Unfortunately, the taxi did not come until three and a half hours later, so we ate a snack of Ramen and oatmeal and hung out.

We finally got back to the boat and reunited with Riley! He made us a delicious dinner of franks and beans (and, of course, cornbread), and we then settled in to shower and complete our final Lifeworks Forum activity. This involved writing cards to everyone on the boat to be read once we were home. I think everyone is feeling a little sad about leaving soon, but we are making the most of our time left here.

We’ll see you all soon!

Question of the day: What would the next person’s mafia name be?
