Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island

Today was a very action-packed day. We began the day with Luke and Toby (staff) diving for our anchor that was on the ocean floor. We learned about the secondary anchor, which is a slightly smaller anchor that is used as a backup. Today was also race day! I was the skipper, meaning I was in charge of the race. I attended the skipper meeting to pick our starting spot and understand the expectations of the race. After we came back from the meeting, we listened to Will’s favorite inspirational speech while waiting for the anchor. We hung out for half an hour until everyone hollered downstairs that the anchor was retrieved! Luke was super excited about the anchor being found. After moving the boat, we were able to embark on a sailing journey to West End! We got lunch and shopped at all the stores until the afternoon. After we got our snacks at the grocery store, I, the skipper, told the rest of the crew our plan for the race. We set out on a race against the other boats from West End, and although we didn’t win first place, we had so much fun hanging out together. During the race, the boat rocked side to side, and we tried everything we could to make it the fastest it could be. We listened to music and read our books while sailing until dinner time. Alin, Lacey, and I danced to all the music while we sailed, and even got others to join us. At dinner, Riley joined us for Mexican night, which was cooked by Toby and Cole. We ended the night with a movie and hanging out together. See you tomorrow! Skipper out ⛵️
