Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Today was my favorite day. We woke up late and had a leisurely morning, enjoying French toast. We undocked the boat and headed to Rhode Town which is by far the biggest island we have been to on shore. At 10:45, we had a short briefing before we left for Rhode Town and got our phones for the first time after 8 days for the entire duration we were onshore between 11 and 2. All of us were super excited to call our families after a whole week. Henry, Chase, Charlie, Stella, Reece, Addie, and Gray wandered around going from shop to shop(such as Mr nice Guy) while I was talking to my brother for 2 hours. We all went to a restaurant for lunch, where I ordered a chicken pasta, which was super yum, and the drinks were super refreshing in the scorching sun. Charlie bought braces for the staff and talked to his parents. We then went back at 2. We then sailed to the bite where we had some much-needed shower time (ocean shower). The staff went to their meeting with Mike for about 90 minutes, where Stella and Reece made some really nice hot dogs and beans. After we cleaned up, we had a forum meeting where we wrote cards to each other, spreading positivity, and it was an opportunity to self-reflect and see how we have grown after the course, which was really heart-warming and cool. The cards are very sensitive, emotional, and confidential, so most of us spent the entire night writing them.
