So today was our last day at Casa Mantay, and it was sad to say goodbye to the girls and the kids. We finished our work before lunch, and we were able to fit in a couple of games of volleyball before we left. After a delicious lunch of chicken and potatoes (which some of us saw being taken out of an oven that was at least 10 feet long), we left them with some games and toys for the children. In return, they gave us handmade bookmarks for us to remember them by. We had an unforgettable experience with them and will carry their touching stories with us for years to come. Afterward, we were able to enjoy some much anticipated free time in the markets in Cuzco. Some of us went on crazy souvenir shopping sprees while others had opted to grab a McPollo Junior from McDonald’s. Then after dinner, we put on our dancing shoes and learned how to salsa dance! Although many of us were hesitant at first, we ended up having a fantastic time. It was a great end to our time in Cuzco. However, we are all ecstatic about the adventures to come
