Location: Bri Bri Talamanca (Indigenous Tribe)

The day began at about 5:15 am, where we all ate breakfast at our respective host family’s homes. We left on the bus at about 6:15 and headed to the Caribbean side of the country to spend the night at an indigenous reserve. First, we were treated to a nature tour by a tractor on a Costa Rican Cowboy’s farm. We saw pigs, chickens, crabs, and even poison dart frogs. Once we crossed the river to the reserve, we had the opportunity to speak with a shaman. We then slept in a hut built by these natives.
