This morning we woke up at 8 am since we had a sleep-in. The staff cooked us French toast for breakfast. It was yummy! We then headed over to Dew Drops. Though a few people were sick, they were able to clean a classroom. They cleaned the windows and furniture during the time others played with the babies. It was fun yet sad since this would be one of the last times some of us would see the kids. Afterward, we went back to the apartment for lunch. Our chefs cooked us an amazing lunch. We had grilled cheese and veggie sticks! Since it was Catherine’s 19th birthday, today we celebrated with ice cream and butter cookies. Happy Birthday, Catherine! Next, we went to Roundabout to sort games, books, and stationery supplies. We spent 2.5 hours sorting books and organizing board games and determining whether or not they could be sold. By the end of our time, we were able to make up 6-7 boxes of pencils, pens, erasers, colored pencils, and more! Eventually, it was time to head out, and we bought some souvenirs since it was going to be our last time at Roundabout. Then we head back to the apartment, and the chef cooked us some rice, chicken teriyaki, and a special kind of vegetable that no one could identify. Zucchini? Cucumber? Then we had our nightly squeeze, and a few of us left for a night shift at Dew Drops and the others stayed behind to watch Kung Fu Panda 2. By the way, Kung Fu Panda 3 was out recently, and it was great.
