Today we started with the best meal so far, french toast. You know you’re doing something right when the teenagers get up two hours before they had to to make their own food. After breakfast, we watched a video about how to tag that reminded me of a zoom class way too much; it brought back some not-so-great memories. Then the turtle tagging. I’ve never been more confident in my life; we were debating if we would get over or under six turtles; naturally, I went with over. There was just one small problem; it turns out it’s kind of hard to tag turtles when there are no turtles to tag. We did see a shark, though; that was pretty cool. Then we had lunch, veggie burgers, very average. After lunch was the time, we were all waiting for the phones, the real showers, the shore time. It was magical! I called my mom, I called my dad, and Riley was laughing at me the whole time (yes, he’s the adult). Truly magical. Then the moment I was dreading since I got here the BBQ. New people, eww. It wasn’t that bad after all, I met new people they were cool (even though one of them didn’t remember me from the airport but that’s fine whatever I don’t really care at all anyway) everyone was talking, and I’m getting FOMO, seems like it will be a long night.
