Location: Solheimar
We slept in today! Well, not really. We got up at 8:30. Anyway, this morning, we had our first breakfast at Solheimar. At breakfast, I had this really good crepe thing. I’m not sure what it was, but all the girls agreed it was good.
After that, we did our first day of community service. For our service, we helped clean the weeds from the garden. It wasn’t too hard, and it went by really quickly. When we were done, Leora and I wanted to finally make our iced lattes. We made a biscotti latte for almost everyone. Personally, I thought it was pretty good. The only issue is that we ran out of milk…
After that, we did a team bonding activity. We found out what type of leader we are. I learned that I’m red, which means I’m more logical. I’m not too sure how true that is, but I’ll take it! Then we took a nice little hike around the village, and I learned that Solheimar is the oldest eco-village in the world.
After that, we went back to the house again, and I taught Maren how to play Spit. I won both rounds (no, Mom, I didn’t cheat). We finished off the night with an amazing lamb dinner made by Leora and Rai. It was a pretty good day.
