After all the jam-packed fun service we have done for the community in Thailand we took a day to enjoy the wonderful sights and treasures Bangkok has to offer. We jumped into a water ferry and zoomed through central Bangkok to the temple of the reclining Buddha. A single sculpture so massive it took fifteen minutes to walk around it, thirty-five minutes including the amount of time we stopped to pose for pictures with one another. Afterward, everyone opted in to get a traditional Thai Massage, which ended in mixed reviews of being good or some left sorer than some came in being. We walked to lunch and caught the ferry back and chilled at the hotel for some radical free time. So that was pretty cool.
After taking in the sights of Thailand and chilling at the hotel, we headed to Paragon (a giant mall, one of many in Thailand) and enjoyed dinner. We headed up to the top of the mall to go bowling and celebrate Maria’s Birthday. We bowled, sang, and danced our way through the evening. Hannah and I ran sprints to the DJ booth requesting songs everyone enjoyed and belted out to. The pro bowler that I am tied with Eva with an outstanding 98, a score we were both proud to have achieved. All of the people on this Lifeworks trip have become part of my family, and I could not be happier enjoying this time with anyone other than the cool cats on this trip.
