Hannah became involved with Lifeworks during the summer of 2009 when she participated as a student on our China program, and has been on the Lifeworks China Staff Team since 2011. She graduated from SUNY Geneseo with her degree in Childhood/Special Education, with a concentration in Women and Gender Studies, and a minor in Asian Studies. Hannah has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in Malaysia for the upcoming year. She has a passion for music, meeting new people, and exploring the world.
Thomas was born in the U.S., but spent most of his childhood in China. He considers this cross-cultural background a great blessing, and as a result speaks fluent Mandarin. Thomas attended ActionQuest as a student multiple times, and from 2008 onward has served as a translator for the Lifeworks China program, working his first summer as a full staff member in 2012. He is currently attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney, majoring in Secondary Education (English and Biology) and recently studied abroad at University College Roosevelt in the Netherlands.
Sarah was born in Singapore and grew up in Hong Kong. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. She has had the privilege of visiting 26 countries and all continents except Antarctica. Her favourite trips include an educational expedition through the Galapagos Islands, hiking the Anapurna Circuit in Nepal, riding a fishing boat across Indonesia, trekking the Inca Trail in Peru, diving with whale sharks in Australia, helping wildlife officials monitor mountain gorillas in Uganda, and riding with a nomadic family on horseback across the Gobi Desert in Mongolia.
