While we understand families are eager for news, we ask for patience as our staff’s energy is focused on the students and the program at hand. Day 1 (July 14): Students depart from U.S.

Day 2 (July 15): Student arrival day in Beijing; Welcome Dinner

Day 3 (July 16): Morning excursion to the Great Wall; Afternoon service orientation

Day 4 (July 17): Community service day with children; China talk by Brent Johnson (Little Flower Founder and Director)

Day 5 (July 18): Community service day with children; Travel to Taiyuan

Day 6 (July 19): Community service at Taiyuan orphanage; Excursion to Datong and visit to the Hanging Monastery

Day 7 (July 20): Visit to the Buddhist Caves; Return to Beijing

Day 8 (July 21): Community service day with children and Roundabout

Day 9 (July 22): Community service day with children; Wushu classes and evening Peking Duck

Day 10 (July 23): Community service day with children and Roundabout

Day 11 (July 24): Community service day with children; Calligraphy/Chinese Painting/Tea Ceremony classes; Dumpling making

Day 12 (July 25): Community service with children; Visit to the 798 Art District

Day 13 (July 26): Community service with children; Afternoon excursion to the Forbidden City/Tiananmen Square/Wangfujing

Day 14 (July 27): Community service day with children and Roundabout

Day 15 (July 28): Excursion to the Summer Palace and Pearl Market; Evening Hotpot and Karaoke night

Day 16 (July 29): Continue Wushu demonstration; Service with children

Day 17 (July 30): Community service day; Overnight train to Xi’an

Day 18 (July 31): Xi’an touring day (Terracotta warriors, City Wall, etc.)

Day 19 (August 1): Continue Xi’an touring; Return to Beijing

Day 20 (August 2): Final service day with the children; Lifeworks’ final dinner and closing program

Day 21 (August 3): Students depart for home
