Location: Anegada
We started the morning meeting up with the kids from the Youth Empowerment Program from East End Tortola and playing some introductory games with them. The energy continued to stay high while we helped clean and restocked feeding and drinking bowls at the Anegada Rock Iguana Head-start Facility. After learning about and helping the iguanas, we all headed to Loblolly Bay beach where we could entertain and play with the children; many of whom had never visited Anegada before. We could snorkel over some reefs, pass a ball around in the sand, swim and learn about what makes each child unique. At the end of the day, a lot of new and strong connections were made among recent strangers. We can’t wait to see the kids again on Monday and spend more hilarious and fun-filled meaningful days together.
