The long day started at a comfortable 7:00 a.m. wake up time. This was followed by excellently made chocolate chip pancakes made by our chefs Adam and Ben. After a quick sail over to Jost Van Dyke, we cleaned our breakfast mess and prepared for the long day ahead of us. Soon after we all piled into our dinghies where the students from the Jost Van Dyke Preservation Society awaited us. To make everyone more comfortable with each other, we played two games that helped Lifeworks and the JVDPS students meet and learn about each other. This is where I, along with other students found our buddies. My buddy, Daineon, and I soon returned to our boat along with my other shipmates and their buddies. After showing our buddies around the boat, we settled in for an hour ride to Great Tobago. Once everyone arrived, we were given the options to snorkel, swim or play on the beach all near where we anchored our boat. Daineon, my buddy, was not fond of the water so most of the day we ended up talking and playing on the beach. Three hours later we returned to the boat for the journey back to Jost Van Dyke. Once we returned, we had to say our sad goodbyes to the JVDPS students.
