Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Today, we woke up around 6:45 after having the best sleep yet. The boat was so nice and chilly! The GoBeyond and Quest campers left at around 7 am to go to Virgin Gorda and begin their community service. They began by walking to the school, where Ryley gave them a tour of the complex. They were then assigned jobs, including gardening and building a chicken coop. Aubrey and Jonah built the coop, and Aubrey also had an awesome time looking after the tortoises! Maddy, Kate, and Leah painted and were covered when they got back (Leah had paint in her ear even lol)! They worked until around four and taxied back! The Vegas group, consisting of Atlin, Olivia, Cole, and Toby, had our second day of rotations, starting off with diving. We finished our confined water dives with our final skills. We saw so many fish and a few stingrays today, and we finished at around 10 am. We then went back to our boat to sail the Zest boats. Toby and Cole on one, Atlin and Olivia, and then me on the third, sailing these until around 12. Toby and Cole capsized a few times, haha, but they eventually made it back. We then had chill time after lunch and sailed to Vixen Point. Everyone took a nap and had some reading time on the way there. When we arrived, the Vegas swam and attempted to do some backflips off the dinghy (spoiler: mine did not go well, check the pictures). Toby killed it and had some clean gainers too, and Atlin did one eventually lol. We then hung out for a bit till the GoBeyond and Quest people came back. We then swam some more, and there were more attempted backflips. We then had pasta for dinner and ended the night with an extremely loud dance party to house music.
Miss all the people back at home, but we are all having a great time!
