Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Greetings from Hope! Today was our final rotation day. We dove in the morning, then we did watersports, had lunch, hiked, and went zesting. On our dive this morning, we went to 55 feet. It was Gray, Reese, and my last dive with skills, but Stella, Kiaan, and Charlie have to do CESA on their dive tomorrow. Chase and Henry went on a deep dive this morning, and they went to 68 feet. During their dive, they played with an egg underwater, and it sounded fun. The egg didn’t separate between the egg and the yolk because of the pressure, so it was a cool experiment. During Stella and Charlie’s dive, they saw a large barracuda as soon as they descended into the reef. Stella, Reese, and I practiced our front flips and acrobatics underwater. After our morning dives, the Go Beyond girls (Maeve and Merin) made their way to the farm with Joey to help the local agriculture workers. While they helped cut down trees and manage hurricane prep on the farm, we practiced our wakeboarding skills.
Reese, Henry, and I watched from the dinghy as Stella practiced some new tricks. After watersports, we all headed back to Hope for lunch. We all enjoyed chicken salad wraps and sandwiches. We then got ready for a group hike with Harbour House. After our hike, we went on the boom swing on Glad to Be Here. We all tried new tricks on the rope for a while and swam around together. It was then our final rotation, where we got to use the zests and sail around. Reese and Stella worked great together and found a passion for sailing. Chase, Charlie, Gray, and Henry switched up pairs but still capsized many times. Stella and Reese ended up circling them and laughing as their boat completely flipped over. After our last rotation day, we headed back to Hope, where Grace, Ruby, and Amanda cooked us chili and rice for dinner. Henry and Chase are looking forward to their night dive with Amanda tonight, where they will bring my camera to capture cool sea life they find. To finish up the day, we all have a forum and we have activities to do together. It was overall a really fun day!
P.S.
Stella and I really packed on the sunscreen, and our skin is thriving👹
