Location: Galapagos
It was nice to be back in a hostel, and by 7:30 we were rested and ready for a full day of community service. After the 30-minute bus ride, we arrived at our destination and were split into two groups. One group worked with machetes, clearing away invasive plants while the other group took care of plants in the greenhouse. We were in the first group and found the work to be fulfilling, by lunch we were all exhausted and happy to have a break. After lunch, the groups switched tasks, and we were working with soil in the greenhouse. By 3:30 we were on our way home and enjoyed a short hike to a pier where the snorkeling was amazing. The day was full of fun and hard work, so it comes as no surprise that everyone is tired and looking forward to getting some rest.
