After a spectacular fifteen days in Iceland, everyone is homebound. Our time here has been chock-full of site seeing, service, and smiles. We forged fast friendships and leave this program with many memories to cherish for years to come. We soaked in steam baths and saw more waterfalls and breathtaking natural beauty than most people get to see in a lifetime. We gallivanted across glaciers and watched puffins and humpback whales frolicking in their ocean playground. We sampled lots of local cuisines! No one will love Appelsin and pylsur as much as you guys. We accomplished impressive feats with our service partners, planting 3,484 birch trees with the Soil Conservation Service up north and spreading 700kg of fertilizer + grass seed, harvesting the whole rhubarb patch at Solheimar and transporting thousands of trees for the government reforestation project. Not to mention we collected a whopping 460kg of trash during the beach clean-up in Grindavik with the Blue Army just a few days ago. Well done to you all! We appreciate your dedicated effort and hope these experiences continue to fuel your desire to make a difference in the world. This has been one grand adventure. If you need us, just yell hoddog 🙂 Patrick, and Keeley
